p255 Queen of Hearts. A climbing Hybrid Tea released in 1920, a cross between ‘Gustav Grunerwald’ and Alister’s ‘Rosy Morn’. Modern Roses gives the following description: “Bud globular, flower large, double, cupped, fragrant rich pink, foliage dark. Very vigorous climber, free recurrent bloom.” The plant I have in my garden conforms to this description. It is the vivid pink Alister seems to have been so fond of.
