'Belle des Jardins' rose Description

Gallica / Provins, Hybrid Perpetual.
Bloom:
Dark red, violet shading, white streaks. Moderate fragrance. Large, full (26-40 petals), in small clusters bloom form. Once-blooming spring or summer.
Habit:
Upright. Dark green foliage. 3 leaflets.
Height: 3' to 5' (90 to 150cm). Width: up to 3' (up to 90cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 4b through 8b. Shade tolerant. Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood.. Prune after flowering is finished.

Notes:
Opinion on parentage varies. See references. This rose is classified as a Gallica by Corboeuf despite the fact this is cross between a Moss and a Damask Perpetual, probably as it has no moss and does not repeat.
