Origin:
Bred by Ludwig Weigand (Germany, 1928).
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1930 as 'Christoph Weigand'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea, Pernetiana.  
Bloom:
Light pink.  Salmon center.  Mild fragrance.  Very large, full (26-40 petals), borne mostly solitary, high-centered bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Few or no prickles/thorns, upright, well-branched.  Wrinkled (rugose) foliage.  
Growing:
USDA zone 4b through 9b.  Hardy.
