Bloom:
Yellow.  Strong fragrance.  Average diameter 5'.  Semi-double (9-16 petals) bloom form.  Occasional repeat later in the season.

Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Disease susceptibility: susceptible to blackspot .

Notes:
Named for Major Lawrence Johnston (October 17, 1871 Paris - April 27, 1958 Menton), creator of the gardens of Hidcote Manor and Serre de la Madone, who received this climber exclusively from Pernet-Ducher and had it at Hidcote Manor under the name 'Hidcote Yellow'.
