My Mrs B.R. Cant was planted in a spacious 20 liter pot in early 2024. The potting soil was a mix of peat free compost and composted farm manure. The rose began to grow soon after due to the mild winter of 2023/2024. In April the buds appeared on rather thick shoots and by the end of that same month the first bud unfolded into a very large, very full bloom with a beautiful pink color and a quite strong fragrance. I would describe the fragrance as strong fresh Tea with citrus notes. That first flower survived a thunderstorm and temp of 28 degrees without even a scratch. Mrs B.R Cant has very large flowers for a Tea and especially her many petals make it a Sumptuous, exquisite rose. Once she's strong and has established a good root ball she'll go into the ground next fall. I'm rather impressed by this Tea

It’s so fun to read the comments on Mrs BR Cant in regards to her scent. Notes listed here in comments include:
Grapefruit
Passion Fruit
Myrhh
Apples
Guava
Honey
Tea
She is one of my favorites for scent and I agree with apples from above list but I might also add that the first thing that comes to mind when I smell mine is a strong hit of good garden soil. Good smelling dirt, in other words. I love it. It is a floriferous, beautiful and tough rose, standing up to strong heat as long as it has some water.

The smell on Mrs BR Cant this year is even stronger and sweeter than ever (older plant? new fertiliser?). In previous years it has always come across as tea and passion fruit to me, but this year there's a fair bit of honey into the mix i(which at times strikes me as too much of a good thing).
