This rose is really weedy here in Jacksonville, FL (9b). It roots wherever it touches the ground and is evergreen, with dark green leaves. It may be invasive here. Once blooming and not very fragrant to my nose. Huge, vicious thorns and octopus canes that bloom once a year. Very healthy and disease resistant, drought tolerant, heat tolerant - very hard to kill. I originally planted this over a drain field in full sun, in pure sand, with no shade, and no irrigation and it still thrived. I found this rose boring and dangerous to be around so it was removed with much effort.
