Mass Effect Roses. Baby Alberic This is by far the finest of all White H. poly’s. Having extremely glossy foliage and marvelously formed little double white roses with buds that are a dream. Also it is very healthy. The only fault is that under very cool conditions it makes an occasional pale orange bloom. As this is one that may be used for corsage and buttonhole, I will sell one or more if desired. Average a foot to 16 ins.

p19-7 ‘Baby Faraux’. Here we have something new for the gardener that is exciting and foolproof too. Imagine very glossy foliaged green rose bushes constantly covered with small lavender double roses. They will average not more than a foot tall. Then between each lovely little bush plant dwarf yellow French Marigolds. You can have a border out of this world that is distinctive, as well as new as tomorrow. Too, due to ‘Baby Faraux’s health you need not spray and in addition it is far hardier than most H. Polyanthas. Really the color is lavender blue tho in my soil up here there is so much iron they become lavender. six for $12.00 – no less sold.

p22-7 ….for instance if I like lavender violet and yellow together I certainly would get the healthy little ‘Baby Faraux and plant it mixed with yellow dwarf marigolds and let the garden eggsperts go sit on a lotta tacks and have all the gold and lavender I wanted.

'Dr. Kirke. A gorgeous copper with a touch of salmon on a strong growing plant. This does not have its full color except when well watered and grown in a very cool, high climate; then it is magnificent with its perfect long bud and is also very double.

Edith Krauss  Here is the white rose with the long stems.  Perfect Exhibition form with very glossy mildew proof foliage that is like holly foliage.  You always have high pointed centers with this rose.  This is a very good example of what a commonplace name can do in keeping a rose out of commerce.

Frances Ashton One of the hugest and healthiest singles in H.T.'s originated in Tacoma, Wash., so you know that it is mildew proof. In color it is rose pink with only five petals.

 Gardenia.  Really a wonderful variety that is tractable in making pillars or training in any special way;  also disease free.    It is one of the hardiest climbers in getting close to yellow.    Its medium sized, well formed buds open to cream colored blooms.    On the old place I had a 12 ft pillar and it was a sight to behold as it did not freeze down so easily as the rest.

p26. 'City of York'... is one of the two TOP white rambler type roses; the other is 'Glendale' and each is greatly different.

p27. 'Glenn Dale'. This is probably the best white climber ib existence, all factors considered. It is hardy to down below zero, never gets blackspot and has creamy ivory buds of slender spiraling dreamy grace that must be seen to be appreciated, opening to double snow white flowers. That marvelous pillar pictured in my book [*] is of this variety.
