9A/Houston, TX Bought as inexpensive grafted and bagged bare root from a big box store in spring of 2022. Quickly became a star performer in my garden, blooming in generous flushes. Mostly neglected everything August and September as the 100 degree days slogged on, and MIP has some of the healthiest foliage as Houston slides into a more reasonable growing season of 90 degree days, 70 degree nights. Most roses at least half defoliated, MIP has kept most of hers. Watered heavily, fertilized rarely, neem oil spray occasionally.
5/11/2021- survived lockdown, winter storm uri and no care during the pandemic.
3/27/2024- Honestly this is the first year that I'm really impressed with this rose. Giant blooms, stuffed with petals, beautiful delicate coloring. Not a large plant.
