Origin:
Bred by Alister Clark (1864-1949) (Australia, before 1930).
Introduced in Australia by Brundrett's The Rose People in 1930 as 'Courier'.
Class:
Hybrid Gigantea.  
Bloom:
Pink, white undertones.  up to 26 petals.  Average diameter 3.5".  Large, very double, cluster-flowered bloom form.  Once-blooming spring or summer.  
Habit:
Climbing.  

Height: up to 19'8" (up to 600cm).  Width: up to 13'1" (up to 400cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Vigorous.  
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
The description "flowers in clusters" has been used with this rose.
A 1943 picture from Alister Clark's garden seems to be flowering singly, but it is indistinct.
The quoted pollen parent, 'Archiduc Joseph', needs substantiation.
