Bred by Alister Clark (1864-1949) (Australia, 1940).
Introduced in Australia by Brundrett's The Rose People in 1940 as 'Lady Mann'.

Hybrid Gigantea, Hybrid Tea.  

Pink blend.  Rosy salmon.  Strong fragrance.  15 to 20 petals.  Average diameter 3.5".  Large, double (17-25 petals), cluster-flowered, in small clusters bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  

Large, glossy foliage.  

Height: 5¼' to 6'7" (160 to 200cm).  Width: 4'1" to 4'7" (125 to 140cm).

USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Produces decorative hips.  

Lady (Adeline) Mann was the wife of Sir Frederick Mann, a distinguished Australian lawyer who was Chief Justice of Victoria (1935-44 and Lieutenant-Governor (1936-45).

Early references say this rose was bred from 'Lorraine Lee'.
Some modern references - 1990, and 2004 - are calling it a sport of 'Lorraine Lee'.

The rose in commerce in Australia was found at Alister Clark's property Glenara and presumed to be 'Lady Mann'.
